This is the first of several books in the Word Bowling series. It will be the first released as it is the most complete version of the game.

The idea is to remove pins by forming words at least three letters in length. If all ten letters are removed before moving to the spare, you have scored a strike and receive 10 points plus the value of the next 2 "balls". If you have to use the "spare" letters, they can match the remaining pins or connect to form more words to score the spare, which scores 10 points plus the value of the next ball. If only one or two pins are left in the spare round, you can record the spare by matching the letters, or by forming a two or three letter word. If any pins are left, then you score the value of the pins knocked down.

There is a Beat the Pro challenge with each game, where the goal is score higher than what the goal score is for each game. There are 25 games in total of 10 frames, plus 2 additional frames if you score a strike (2 frames) or spare (1 frame) in the 10th frame.

This game has the challenge of bowling without the shoes. Expect to see more books in this series, including some with a candlepin variant and others with a unique method of scoring called ScoreWords.
