A collection of the paintings of my late wife Cherrill Everley accompanied by some of my poetry where appropriate. The collection is divided into: Landscapes, Industry, Buildings, People and Abstract.

Sadly, when my wife was alive we never produced a joint work combining her artwork and my poetry. This has been a matter of regret for me for many years and which I hope this small collection will overcome.

Marrying the art and the poetry hasn't been easy. Firstly, as they were not written and painted together, it has been necessary to look for common themes etc. Secondly, it has been psychologically challenging bringing back many memories and emotions from the past. Hopefully the final outcome will prove to have been worthwhile.

I have avoided adding detail notes about the poems or the artwork, but have added brief notes where I thought they were required.

These represent just a small selection from Cherrill’s work.
