This tender, beautiful arrangement requires the Grade 2.5 - 3.0 technical skills, range, and maturity of high school performers and an accomplished pianist. After a brief piano introduction, the tune is introduced as a duet in Concert Key of F Major in 3/4 time. There is a modulation into the key of G Major for the final verse. Mix or match the parts with like or different, flexibly paired instruments. The instrumentalist’s range is not extreme and the rhythmic demands are familiar (due to the carol’s popularity) which makes this a rather straightforward arrangement to put together and a popular choice for performances in many types of church, school, and civic programs.
