This work began as a class project for a graduate RFIC design course through which I learned the ins and outs of integrated design for RF applications. Furthermore, I have bundled all of the work I have done as a sort of guide to get started in this area. Furthermore, I cover designing with CMOS and how this comes into play for designing CMOS mixers. With the proliferation of 5G devices due to shrinking process nodes, we are able to design such devices to operate at high frequencies. This work will take you through the design process utilizing cadence design tools and ADS for simulations. Finding sources for RF design is difficult and as such, I hope that this work serves as a good introduction to the overall design flow and process.
