Mukhtar Sherim Jumashuly is a well-known Kazakh satirist, writer, and journalist from Kazakhstan.

- Education: Abai Secondary School, then Faculty of Journalism at Kaznu in 1975
- Career:
- Started in the literature department of Almaty Puppet Theater
- Led the satire section “Qaqpan” in _Ońtústik Qazaqstan_ newspaper
- Founded satirical newspaper _Zhudyryq_ in 1988, and later _Barys_ which he ran for 14 years
- Co-organized the humor and satire theater festival _Kúlki Zhármeńkesi_ in 1986

He writes satire since 1969. Major works include:
- Satirical collections: _“Qudaǵi Qushaqtai Beredi”_, _“Farewell to the Bureaucrat”_
- 4-volume series: _“Ymbappa”_, _“Taltaíyp Turgym Keledi”_, _“Excuse Me, Aren’t You a Donkey?”_, _“I’ll Tear You to Pieces!”_
- Novels: _“The Super Shameless”_ - first satirical novel after Kazakhstan’s independence, and _“Wise Fools”_
- Theater interludes: _“Ubán”_ and _“Euromola”_ are popular in Kazakh comedy theaters.

Awards:
- Laureate of the International “Alash” Award
- Honored Writer of Kazakhstan
- Grand Prize Winner of Shona Smaqanuly Satirical Contest.

His work has also been published in Bangladesh, Kosovo, Italy, Albania, and China. 2008
