The book presents 500 checkmates, stemming from the games of Magnus Carlsen. The collection includes checkmates, that Carlsen set to his opponents, as well as variations, that could have happened, but were left behind the scenes. Checkmate is at the basis of everything, every single winning chess position actually represents checkmate in specific number of moves. May be 1-move-long, or may be 20-move-long. The better players recognise more mates, and the more mates you recognise, a stronger player you will become.
